Castelul Bran

Bran Castle was originally a fortress built by the Knights of the Teutonic Order in the year 1212.
It was known by the name of Dietrichstein at the time.
Later on, towards the end of the 13th century, it was
taken over by the Saxons in that region in order
to protect the City of Brasov, an important trade center.

Shameless bastards, and treacherous too.. These chambers have seen better days.
All the Crusaders are back to their counties and their wives. Here I am alone,
trying to defend Christendom...against all odds. They say I am "blood thirsty".
They forgot the bloodshed they caused... How quickly the West forgets...! And let
them lock each other in towers and decapitate each other, or maybe guillotine each other!
In this Land, impaling is the punishment. And those who were treacherous, thieves,
cheaters, adulterers, were punished. I made sure of that.

If only these walls could speak... They would tell you about my six years rule over Wallachia. About the wars I fought against those pagan foes. The Ottomans were threatening all of us... I stood up against those eunuchs, I fought them, I punished them...impaling they taught me... impaling they got... The wrath of the Ottomans came upon us after all those Crusades....Christendom was under assault.
My own brother("Radu the Handsome"..they call him) turned against me... The Empire emissaries...? Blah...! I once nailed their turbans to their heads...They should take them off in front of the King of Wallachia !!
And those Saxons, across the mountains, in Transylvania are sheltering another foe of mine...Trying to usurp me. I used this castle to go after them. Impale them, I did. They are spreading rumors about me now
